We can become, (but also our purpose is to become Saints, says Saint Nektarios) Saints, as long as we follow life, humiliation, to experience the absolute love of the Lord, followed literally by Saint Elder Paisios.

The whole secret in life is to follow the word of the Lord, to make sure we confess frequently and commune every Sunday, to forgive everyone and everything, to love our enemies. But what is important is n’ open our hearts, to come closer to the Lord, to let him dwell in us.

We need to realize that ourselves, without the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, with the help of the Lord we can do nothing. No one can n’ sanctify if not chosen by the Father, (no one can come to me unless he has been chosen by the Father, said the Lord). But in order to be chosen, one must be humble, humble as Saint Paisios was approaching the humility of the Lord to show self-denial, to think of others first.

Studying all the sages of the world I came to what Saint Paisios said that the greatest wisdom based on reason is stupidity before the wisdom of God. Holy elders like Saint Paisios are pure channels of God's voice and we must first listen to them. Saint Paisios was is and continues 21 years after his departure from space-time, to be the expression of the Lord, did and continues to do Miracles to those who invoke him and believe in the Lord and the Holy Elder.

The Saint Paisios always speaking the words of God, gives us tips for raising our children which if we follow we will never have a problem with our children. This divinely inspired Saint Elder considered it more efficient to pray for our children, rather than arguing and grumbling when they do bad things, also considered that the most important factor for the mental and physical health of children is the positive family atmosphere. Saint Paisios says about raising children:

• “It is good for parents to show the child that they are upset about the disorder he is committing, but don't push it and pray ". "That's why I tell mothers to force themselves in prayer and not to force their children.".
• “At home it is necessary to have an atmosphere of love and peace. The child if he gets a little love from home and gets away at some point, he will see that he finds no love elsewhere, but only hypocrisy and will come back. But if he remembers bad scenes in the house, bruises and disputes, how to make his heart go back ";
• “We help children spiritually with our example, not by force ". "The children in the crib are still copying their parents. They stir up everything,what adults see and write in their empty cassette ". "It simply came to our notice then, he taught them to fight with joy, to avoid the temptations of life, not to be easily disturbed in the face of a difficulty, but to face it with prayer and trust in God ".

The whole world fits inside me. I want to hug all people, to help them. Because love cannot be closed in the heart.

Saint Paisios makes it clear to us that no psalm says that the unrighteous, there is nothing worse than injustice. Everything you do has God's blessing. Whatever man does according to the Will and the blessing he achieves, what he does with cunning does not thrive. When man is righteous he has God on his side, when he has the parsimony of God miracles happen. The honesty of man is superior to the Holy wood.

What matters is that we do it according to God's will and then we will have God on our side.
The whole secret is enlightenment, the Holy Spirit has the divine energy and descends alone when he finds the spiritual conditions in man. In order to ascend to the heavenly Paradise, a holy Elder tells us, it is necessary to have faith in the Householder of Paradise., to love Him, to acknowledge our sinfulness, to humble ourselves to know Him and to converse with Him in prayer and to glorify Him both when He helps us and when He tests us. When man remains in his physical knowledge, it remains in nature and does not ascend to Heaven. When man is humbled and enlightened then the mind is sanctified, while before enlightenment the energy of the mind is carnal. When our flesh is humbled, with vigilance, fasting, prayer, then our soul is humbled and then the Grace of God visits it and we are saved.

Disease is ultimately a visit of God, because with disease the whole of our being is humiliated, then Aunt Grace visits us and we are filled with fullness and joy.

The devil is ingenious, he has infinite cunning and his purpose is our destruction: "Every machine plots for daily loss". (saint Nile) Saint Paisios tells us that there are demons with specialty, every man fights differently, because people have a different character. That is why he launches a big attack on those who start living their spiritual lives and brings them great misfortunes to disappoint them., to stop the spiritual life.

Their egotists strike at selfishness, he hits their greedy people with money, flirting with food and the desire for carnal contact with every person of the opposite sex he meets. He puts arrogant thoughts on the respectable humble man, that he is good, he is perfect, worth a lot. The devil understands which of the three passions that dominate man, greed, lust and ambition, there is weakness and it hits him.

The devil is flamboyant. The devil's goal is to believe that he does not exist. It is presented with various masks. Hiding, surprises us, confuses our minds.

"Joy belongs to Christ, the sorrow is of the devil. Whoever has medicine in him means that he is not leaning on Christ. Selfishness brings despair and sadness. Anyone who is upset by philotimos, he throws the weight on himself and has consolation and rest from God. Anyone who is upset by selfishness, throws the weight on others.

"The antidote to sorrow is praise to God. You are not happy, you do not see the sky, why do not you praise God. Keep praising God for everything,what do you have, doxology glorifies everything. When man praises God for the few, infinite blessing comes to him from God ". (saint Paisius)

To become empty people, free from our "I", our old selves, it is necessary to identify our will with the will of God. The sadness, the jealousy, envy, they come from our "I" and are a perversion of the forces of our soul, Saint Paisios tells us.

Our Paisius Saint speaks of the power of the Holy Cross: "Elder, I fear the Tagalaki ".

The return of the mind to the heart is done by the clean (to strip rubble to show God, like St. Paisius said) and the "incessant prayer". Then the Lord dwells in our heart and constantly nourishes us with His Grace. Without God we can not do anything, without the constant invocation of the name of the Lord we can not do anything.

Saint Father Paisios of Mount Athos was born of pious parents, Prodromos and Eulambia Enzepidis, in Farasa of Cappadocia on 25 July of 1924 A.D., a few days before the departure of the Pharisees from their homeland for Greece. At his baptism, Saint Arsenios of Cappadocia (see 10 November), the full-time and saintly life-adorned priest of the Pharaohs, she named him Arsenios, "To leave him a monk at his feet", as he characteristically said.

In GREECE, The family of little Arsenios settled in Konitsa, Epirus, where he spent his childhood and youth. Nurtured by the stories about the wonderful life of Saint Arsenios, he said he would become a monk from their age 5 years! And after he learned to read, His favorite pastime was reading the lives of the Saints, of which he imitated the ascetic struggles with warm zeal.

After his circular studies he did not want to continue in letters, but he preferred to imitate Christ and learned the art of carpentry, which he exercised diligently and skillfully. At the age of 15 years claimed the sight of the Lord, for a single ambitious calculation, through which he repulsed a demonic insult of the temptation of infidelity. Since then, the flame of God's love and the desire for solitary life have ignited even more..

Times of turmoil followed for Greece, due to the foreign Occupation and the civil war. The Saint, however, both as a citizen and as a soldier during his term (1945 – 1949 A.D.), showed unparalleled courage and self-sacrifice. He was willing to give his every moment and his life for the salvation of others. In fact, he is often in the midst of a deadly storm of fire, He happened to save many soldiers with his fervent prayers, but to save himself in a miraculous way.

Because most of his military service he served as a radio operator, many publications dedicated to the life of Osios refer to him as the "Wireless of God". indeed, Saint, citing as an example his specialty in the army, responded to someone who questioned the usefulness of solitary life that monks are "wireless of God", meaning their fervent prayer and concern for the rest of humanity.

After these adventures, he wanted to enlist in the angelic order of the monks, with the wings that divine love gives. So, went to Mount Athos, looking for a guide to her life in peace with God. But he did not immediately fulfill his desire. Alongside, his own were in great financial difficulty at the same time, so they called him to help them. So, returned to Konitsa and worked as a carpenter. After 3 years though (1953 A.D.), At the age 29 years now, left the things of the world and returned to the Athonite State.

After he came to hermitages and huts, finally followed the advice of a venerable elder and joined the fraternity of the Holy Monastery of Esfigmenos, then known for its strict order. There he lived in complete obedience and indulged in excessive exercise, exaggerating in favor of Christ and his brothers. So, at 27 Of March 1954 A.D. became a monk. He also received the name Averkios. But having in him the desire for a quiet and carefree life, took the blessing of the Abbot and went to consecrate in the Holy Monastery of Philotheos, which was then in a peculiar state. There he prepared for the life of the hermit, under the guidance of a discreet and wise elder, of Elder Symeon. At 12 Of March 1956 A.D., became a small monk and received the name "Paisios", thanks to the Metropolitan of Caesarea Paisios the second, who was also his compatriot.

In August 1958 A.D., obeying a divine parliament, did not settle in the desert, for which he was preparing, but in the ruined Holy Monastery of Panagia tou Stomio, located near Konitsa. He lived in it 4 years, living biosphere life, struggling with temptations, benefiting the people of the area, saving many of the teachings of the Protestant groups operating there, and renovating the Monastery with great effort.

The 1962 A.D., when the renovation work was completed and the danger from the heterodox groups disappeared, Saint begged in the midst of temptation, who were besieging him every day, God willing to show him the path he had to follow. So, accepted as a godsend the invitation of a priest-deacon to accompany him to the theobadic Mount Sinai. On that arid and dry place, in the cell of Saints Galaktionos and Science, he finally lived what he had longed for, the isolation to God.

Fighting with a lot of humility, constant fasting, unceasing vigilance and unceasing prayer, managed to overcome the traps of the half-evil enemy and enjoy union with God. Full of the grace of divine supplication, she enjoyed the godly delight in the furnace of the uninvited desert. In fact, he became very dear to the Bedouins, giving them food with money from the sale to the pilgrims of wooden crosses that he made himself.

It would not exist, so, no reason to abandon that stage of virtue, if - leave! - physical illness was not exacerbated by the harsh climate, which forced him to return to his homeland. Returning to Mount Athos 1964 A.D., did not reduce the number of his ascetic struggles, despite the payment of the body, as in spirit he maintained his former warmth. So living as a stranger and parasite on earth, he became a citizen of heaven.

Having, consequently, practice as the "access" of theory, he reached great heights and became a communicant of divine mysteries. He talked to saints who appeared before him, he experienced the vision of Angelos Fylakas, he heard angelic hymns and was enlightened by the heavenly light.

The 1966 A.D. became seriously ill and was admitted to the Thoracic Diseases Center of Northern Greece (Papanikolaou Hospital). He underwent surgery, resulting in partial removal of the lungs. In the period until he recovered and returned to Mount Athos, he was hosted at the Holy Hermitage of Agios Ioannis the Evangelistos in Souroti.. He returned to Mount Athos after his recovery and 1967 A.D. moved to Katounakia and specifically to the Lavreotiko cell of Ypatio (Vlachs).

At 12 August 1968 A.D. Saint Paisios, entered the Holy Monastery of Stavronikita and consecrated himself in the cell of the Holy Cross.

The 1979 A.D. leaves the Holy Cross and looking for a cell goes to the abandoned "Panagouda". There Osios worked hard to create a cell with a "bond", where he remained until the end of his life. From the time he settled in Panagouda, many people visited him. In fact, there were so many people that there were special signs pointing the way to his cell, so that visitors do not disturb the other monks. He also received too many letters. As Osios used to say, he was very upset, because from the letters he learned only about divorces and mental or physical illnesses. Despite his busy schedule, continued the intense ascetic life, to the point of resting little, 2 with 3 hours a day. But he continued to accept and try to help visitors. He also used to make "stamped" icons which he gave to visitors as a blessing..

To all this daily fatigue of Saint Paisios are added the health problems that afflicted him. The last years of his life the pains from various diseases such as colitis, which left him permanently dyspeptic, inguinal hernia and mainly from the cancer he had been diagnosed with, they became more and more. Par’ ol’ but he was calm and endured without protesting at all. Instead, he continued to pray for everyone.

After the 1993 A.D. he was bleeding for which he refused to be treated, saying "everything will be comfortable with the soil". In November of the same year he left Mount Athos for the last time and went to Souroti., at the Hermitage of Agios Ioannis the Theologian for the feast of Agios Arsenios (10 November). He stayed there for a few days and while he was preparing to leave he fell ill and was transported to Theagenio, where a colon tumor was diagnosed. He considered cancer a fulfillment of his request to God and beneficial for his mental health. At 4 February 1994 A.D. underwent surgery. Although the disease did not stop, but metastasized to the lungs and liver, Osios announced his desire to return to Mount Athos 13 June. But the high fever and shortness of breath forced him to stay.

At the end of June, his doctors announced that his life expectancy was two to three weeks at most.. On Monday 11 July (feast of St. Euphemia) communed for the last time kneeling in front of his bed. In the last days of his life he decided not to take drugs or painkillers, despite the horrible pains of his illness. He fell asleep on Tuesday 12 July 1994 A.D. and time 11:00 and was buried in the Holy Hermitage of Agios Ioannis the Theologian in Souroti, Thessaloniki.
