«Παρακαλῶ οὖν ὑμᾶς, imitate me ".

Apostolos Petrou's lessons

TEternal Life we gain by starting with Baptism, where garments Christ and close a contract with God to follow His Will we win the Kingdom of Heaven promised us the Son and Word of God, This tells us the Apostle Peter in his letter A.: "No matter what copy, the baptism, now saves you also, is not that elimination of pollutant flesh, but familiarize commitment to God a good conscience, through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God, after he had ascended into heaven, and angels and powers and powers came to him. ".

The Lord has always taught us that only through patience will we be able to reach the Kingdom of Heaven., deification: «Ὁ δὲ ὑπομείνας εἰς τέλος, οὗτος σωθήσεται », «Ἐν τῇ ὑπομονῇ ὑμῶν κτήσασθε τὰς ψυχὰς ὑμῶν». The Apostle Peter tells us about the infinite patience shown by the Lord during His sufferings: "He, when they insulted him, he did not reciprocate the insults, when he was suffering, he was not threatening, but surrendered to him who judges justly. ".

The Apostle Peter tells us that when we patiently follow Jesus Christ we will reach deification: "It simply came to our notice then, when you are benefiting and suffering, this is Grace before God. Because that's what you were called, because Christ also suffered for your sake, leaving behind His model for you, to follow in His footsteps ".

The less everyone is connected to the world and the more they realize how suffocatingly short their life on earth is., the better he walks towards deification. As Apostolos Petros tells us, it is better to take care of the permanent residence than for the community that we take care of with carnal desires.: "Dear, please residents and bystanders, ἀπέχεσθαι τῶν σαρκικῶν ἐπιθυμιῶν, they are enlisted against the psyche, improvement and the residence of the parish ".

The Apostle Peter also makes it clear to us that with the Resurrection of the Lord we also gain our resurrection and eternal life.:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who reborn us according to His great mercy in a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, in an inheritance indestructible and immaculate and amaranth, which is preserved in the heavens for you, who are guarded by the power of God through faith in salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last days. ".

The Apostle Peter tells us that the devil is our greatest threat and gives us the way to deal with it: "It simply came to our notice then, you hurried, the devil who opposes you as a lion, walking around, begs for forgiveness ". That is, restrain yourself, become alert and careful, because your adversary and accuser is the devil, like a roaring lion, he walks furiously and asks who to pull away from the faith and swallow him.

Apostle Paul's Teachings

The Apostle Paul tells us that the goal of our life is sanctification, our deification, let's follow him :

«Τοῦτο γάρ ἐστι θέλημα τοῦ Θεοῦ, ⁇ ἁγιασμὸς ὑμῶν ». «Παρακαλῶ οὖν ὑμᾶς, imitate me ".

If we do the above, the Apostle Paul tells us, we become members of Christ, we are a temple of God, the abode of the Holy Spirit and our destination is deification: «Οὐκ οἴδατε .τι τὰ σώματα ὑμῶν μέλη Χριστοῦ ἐστιν; ἢ οὐκ οἴδατε ὅτι τὸ σῶμα ὑμῶν ναὸς τοῦ ἐν ὑμῖν ῾Αγίου Πνεύματός ἐστιν, οὗ ἔχετε ἀπὸ Θεοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἐστὲ ἑαυτῶν;».

Man went from spiritual to mental and carnal. The carnal and the psychic are the man who does not have the Grace of the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul told the Corinthians that as long as they had disputes among themselves, it means that they have ceased to be spiritual and have become carnal.

Love is our eternal and on love all the law is based and the Prophets tell us the Apostle Paul is the greatest gift of the Holy Spirit. The soul dominated by love is detached from the earthly and clings to God. He who is dominated by love of God, unites with God, acquires His gifts. God only loves and never punishes.

The Apostle Paul says that Christ will win: "Faithful is the Word, because, if we died with Him, and we will live with Him, if we endure, and we shall reign with Him, if we deny Him, and He will deny us, if we believe, He remains faithful, can not deny Himself ".

The Apostle Paul says that the Christian is the one in whom the Holy Spirit lives, this Spirit frees us from death, leads him to Paradise:

"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus set you free from the law of sin and death.. But you do not live by the flesh but by the Spirit, though of course God's Spirit dwells in you. But if anyone has not Christ's Spirit, This is not his. So if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also animate your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. ".

Man is body and soul, to win the immortality promised to us by Jesus Christ, our body also needs to be immortalized, which in the present life tends to wear out, after the Second Coming of the Lord he will be defiled.

The Apostle Paul tells us about the immortality of our soul, but also the incorruptibility of our bodies but also the defeat of death by the Lord:

"It simply came to our notice then. It is sown with wear and tear, rises with incorruption. It is sown with dishonesty, rises with glory. It is sown with disease, rises with force. A mental body is sown, a spiritual body is raised. If there is a mental body, there is also spiritual.

"It simply came to our notice then: He became the first man, Adam, living soul. the last Adam, animating spirit.

But first comes the spiritual, but the psychic, then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, earthy, the second man is from heaven. Whoever was the earthen, such are the landfills, and whoever is heavenly, such will be the heavenly. And as we have worn the image of the earth, we will also wear the image of the heavenly ".

"It simply came to our notice then, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does decay inherit incorruption. Behold, I'm telling you a mystery: we will not all sleep, but we will all change,

in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet. Because it will blow the trumpet and the dead will rise incorruptible and we will change. Why should this perishable be clothed in incorruption and this mortal clothed in immortality?.

So when this perishable thing is clothed with incorruption and this mortal is clothed with immortality, then the written word will take place: Death was swallowed up in victory.

"Where is, you died, your victory; Where is, you died, your sting; So the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But let us give thanks to God who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. In order that, my dear brothers, to become central, immovable, always remaining in the Lord's work, for you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. ”.

Confession, with real repentance it helps our heart to purify. Of course, the "crucifixion" needs many, to find us suffering, illnesses, so that we can repent and purify our hearts .

"Οἴδαμεν δὲ ὅτι τοῖς ἀγαπῶσι τὸν Θεὸν πάντα συνεργεῖ εἰς ἀγαθόν", tells us the Apostle Paul. To those who have an open heart and love God, everything works together to have the best possible result. result for what we do.

The Apostle Paul also emphasizes that only with patience we will be able to reach deification: "Because you need patience, to do the will of God and receive everything, what was promised ". But it also teaches us not to reciprocate the evil but to be patient and take care of the enemies., so our hearts will be opened and we will be led to deification:

"Do not retaliate against anyone for evil. Provide good in front of all people. If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, to make peace with all people. Do not take revenge on yourself, Dear, but give way to anger, because it is written: "It simply came to my notice then, I will reciprocate ", says the Lord. But if your enemy is hungry, let him eat. If he is thirsty, let him drink. Because by doing this you will collect hot coals on his head. Do not be defeated by evil, but evil overcomes good with good ".

The Apostle Paul tells us this clearly how we will become God's heirs:

"The Spirit Himself testifies, together with our spirit, that we are children of God. And if we are children, we are also heirs. heirs of God, co-heirs of Christ, if we sympathize, to become partakers of His glory ”.

The love of God and our fellow human beings is the main criterion that we will be judged, this of course is the most important command of the Lord. Love is our top priority and that has the main weight in the crisis we will have, This is what the Apostle Paul emphasizes to us:

"If I speak the languages of men and angels, but I have no love, I became a piece of copper that makes sounds or a cymbal that blows out. And if I have a prophecy, and I know all the mysteries and all the knowledge, and if I have all the faith, to move mountains, but I have no love, I am nothing. And if I distribute all my possessions, and if I surrender my body to burn, but I have no love, I don't benefit from anything ".

The Lord was merciful and had mercy on us as the Apostle Paul writes in the Epistle to the Ephesians: "And you, that you were dead, because of transgressions and sins, enlivened you. God, Nevertheless, because he is rich in mercy, because of his much love, with whom he loved us, and while we were dead because of sins, he animated us with Christ. and he raised us up with him, and he sat with us in heaven through Jesus Christ. to show in the coming centuries the exceeding riches of his grace with his goodness in us in Christ Jesus. Because, by grace you are saved, through faith. and this is not from you. it is a gift from God. not from works, so that no one boasts ".

The Apostle Paul tells us about it Day of reckoning in his letter to NW to Thessaloniki:

"It simply came to our notice then, brethren, as to the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering near him, do not be disturbed and do not worry about the prophetic gift of the spirit, neither by word nor by letter, for which they will try to convince you, that they come from us and through which we notify you immediately, that the day of Christ has come.

"Take steps to ensure that no one deceives you· because the Second Presence of the Lord will not come, unless the disengagement of many from the faith comes first, consequence of their hardening of their sins and man is not revealed (the Antichrist), the pre-eminent sinner and instigator of every sin, the son of loss, the enemy and adversary of God and truth and who will exalt himself and set him above all others, called God or by anyone else who will enjoy respect and worship on the part of the people. He will be so arrogant, so that he will sit as God in the temple of God and try with cunning and deceitful tricks to prove himself, that he is God.

"It simply came to our notice then, brethren, we owe to thank God always for you, that you have been loved by the Lord, for God hath chosen you from the beginning, to receive salvation by sanctification, granted by the Holy Spirit, and the faith and acceptance of the truth of God. This is our Lord Jesus Christ and our God and Father, who loved us so much and gave us eternal and inexhaustible consolation and granted us with His Grace, the hope of the goods of heaven ".

The Apostle Paul also goes on to say: Day of reckoning “Wait with faith and joy for his Son during his glorious Second Coming from Heaven, that is, Jesus Christ whom He raised from the dead and who saves us and frees us from divine wrath, to come on Monday ".

This is the whole point, the whole truth of our faith in Jesus Christ, made us the greatest gift anyone has ever given to people, gave us Eternal Life, he redeemed us from our greatest enemy, death. That is why the Apostle Paul tells us that it would be of no value to believe in Christ if he had not been resurrected., if he had not freed us from death. Christ did not come to establish a religion, but the Church through which we gain Eternal Life. We are given the opportunity to overcome death and reach deification.

The Apostle Paul also tells us clearly in his mission to the Romans, that if we are connected with Christ we participate in His Crucifixion but mainly in His Resurrection:

"You are unaware that those of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death.; We were buried, Well, with him through baptism in death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so can we walk in a new life.

"For if we have become one with Him in the likeness of His death, then we will be inherent in His Resurrection. Because we know that, that our old man was crucified with him, to remove the body of sin, so that we no longer serve as slaves in sin.

»Because whoever dies has been vindicated and is considered innocent of sin. So if we died with Christ, we believe that we will live with him. Because we know that, after Christ rose from the dead, he no longer dies, death no longer possesses Him ".

We become sons of God when we live the life of Christ on the mortal, our perishable flesh: «Ἵνα καὶ ἡ ζωὴ τοῦ ᾿ησοῦ φανερωθῇ ἐν τῇ θνητῇ σαρκὶ ἡμῶν»

The Apostle Paul clearly analyzes the way we become sons of God (deification):

ü The only purpose in our lives is deification, adoption by God, to become sons of God and we achieve this with faith in Jesus Christ. "Because you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Because those of you who were baptized into Christ, you are clothed in Christ " (saint Paul).

Faith alone is not enough, but we must confess Christ and invoke His name.

ü "If you confess with your mouth, Lord, Jesus, and in your heart you believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Because of, The same Lord is rich to all who call on Him. Because, everyone who will invoke the name of the Lord, will be saved " (saint Paul).

Deification to live in communion with Christ, Whoever came to secure our adoption.

ü «When, Nevertheless, the time crew came, God sent his Son, who was born of a woman and submitted to the law. to redeem those who were under the law, to receive adoption (son position)» (saint Paul).

The risen Christ gives us Eternal Life that is why he is our only savior. Jesus Christ is God over all blessed for the centuries amen, who came and gave His life to cleanse and redeem us from sin, Our clarifies the Apostle Paul:'S fathers, and out of which Christ in the flesh, who is over all things, God blessed for ever Amen. Prosdechomenoi the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, Osh gave himself for us, INA lytrositai us from all iniquity and katharisῃ eaftῷ people fortune, zealot of good works ".

The Apostle Paul tells us clearly that our lives according to the word of Christ set us free from sin which leads us to death and leads us to Eternal Life.

"No condemnation So there are now those who live in Christ Jesus.

Why is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus to freed from the law of sin and death. Because it was impossible for the law, which was weak through the flesh, God did, he sent his own Son in sinful flesh and likeness of sin, and condemned sin in the flesh, to fulfill the just requirement of the law means to us, who do not walk according to the flesh but in Spirit.

"For those who live according to the flesh consider the things of the flesh, while in Spirit the things of the Spirit. Because the mind of the flesh is death, while the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity towards God, because the law of God is not subject, because neither can be subjugated. And those who live in the flesh can be like God.

"But you do not live in the flesh but in the Spirit, though of course God's Spirit dwells in you. But if anyone has not Christ's Spirit, This is not his. But if Christ is in you, first, the body is dead because of sin, secondly the spirit is life because of righteousness.

"So if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh, for if you live according to the flesh, FUTURE die. But if the Spirit kill the deeds of the body, You will experience ".

The Apostle Paul tells us that the Lord came to save us and reconciled us with God giving His blood.

"God, Nevertheless, shows his own love to us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more, Well, now that we have been justified by his blood we will be saved through him from wrath.

»Why if, when we were enemies, reconciled with God through His Son's death, much more, he reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only that, and boast about God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through which now received reconciliation ".

Jesus Christ is Spirit (uncreated), It is freedom and we, being baptized in the Lord, are transformed by His glory, we receive His glory, the uncreated, tells us the Apostle Paul: “The Lord is the Spirit. and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. All of us, Well, we reflect the glory of the Lord with an uncovered face and are transformed into His own image from glory to glory, just as it is done by the Lord, the spirit".

Sin is the cause of our death, and for this we are responsible and not God who is infinite love and sent His Son to save us, tells us the Apostle Paul: "For this, just as through one man sin entered the world and through sin death, and so death passed on to all men, since everyone sinned. Why, if with the transgression of one man death reigned through this one, much more those who receive the surplus of Grace and the gift of justification, with life they will reign through one Jesus Christ ”.

We preach and follow Christ crucified, The Apostle Paul clarified to us, Christianity is always crucified only then as Christ will be resurrected: «Οὐ γὰρ ἔκρινα τοῦ εἰδέναι τι ἐν ὑμῖν εἰ μὴ ηησοῦν Χριστόν, καὶ τοῦτον ἐσταυρωμένον ».

Apostle Paul that we will reach deification.

Imitate Christ who is our role model, the Apostle Paul tells us and he did this throughout his life, because it is the only way to be led to deification: «be imitators of me as I am of Christ ".

So he writes to the Ephesians that they must imitate God and what they must avoid in order to attain deification.: "It simply came to our notice then, Well, imitators of God as beloved children and walk in love, as well as Christ loved us and gave Himself for our sake as an offering and sacrifice to God for the fragrance of fragrance.. But prostitution and any impurity or greed should not be mentioned among yourselves, as it should in saints, as well as filth and morphology or dirty jokes, that do not suit you, but rather thanks to God. Why know this constantly, that every prostitute or unclean or advantageous, who is a pagan, has no inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God ”.

He continues to the Philippians urging them to imitate Christ, to be humble, to care for and love their fellow man better than themselves and then they will win the Kingdom of the Lord:

"So if there is any encouragement in Christ, if some consolation of love, if any society in the Spirit, if some compassion and pity, make me full of joy to think the same, to have the same love, like-minded, to think one thing. Without doing anything with factionalism or arrogance, but with the humility of considering one another superior to oneself, without everyone caring only for their own interests, but each of you and the interests of others.

»Think of this in you that Christ Jesus also thought in Him, who, while it existed in the form of God, he did not consider it a seizure (arrogance) to be equal to God, but he emptied himself and took the form of a slave, when it was done with a model of people. And since he found himself in shape as a human being, he humbled himself and became obedient to death, death even crucifixion. That is why God exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend to heavenly and earthly and earthly beings, and let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ".

Love is the only way to reach deification and this is what Paul emphasizes to us in the best way.:

"If I speak the tongues of men and of angels, but I have no love, I have become a resounding copper or a cymbal. And if I have prophecy and know the mysteries all and all knowledge, and if I have all the faith, so that I can move mountains, but I have no love, I am nothing. And if I give for food all my belongings and if I hand over my body, to burn, but I have no love, I don't benefit from anything.

"Love is long overdue, love behaves well, he is not jealous, love is not magnified, it does not swell with pride, does not behave badly, she doesn't ask for hers, not exacerbated, evil is not counted, does not rejoice in injustice, but congratulates on the truth. He tolerates everything, he believes everything, he hopes for everything, he endures everything.

Love never falls. But not prophecies, will be removed. or languages, they will stop. or knowledge, will be abolished. So now they stay: faith, hope, love. these three. But the greatest of these is love. ".

We move towards deification when we pray for our fellow human beings:

"Please, Well, and I urge you first of all to pray, prayers, requests, thanks to all the people, for kings and for all those who hold office and positions in society, so that God may enlighten them to rule wisely, to live our lives peacefully and quietly with all piety and modesty.

»Because praying for the progress and salvation of others, That's good, pleasing and welcome before our Savior God, who wants all people to be saved, to move forward and receive full and clear knowledge of the truth. Because one is God, God of all people without exception, one is the mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ, the son of God, who became a man. and gave himself a ransom for the redemption and redemption of all from bondage and the death of sin, which was confirmed by him in the times cleansed by God. ".

In his letter to the Ephesians, he explains that only with humility, meekness, love our patience and our participation in the Church of Christ we will become young people we will be worthy of Him and we will be united with Him: “The unity of the Church and the gifts of the Holy Spirit

Please, Well, I who am imprisoned for the Lord, to live in a way worthy of the one who called you to the new life: Live with humility, meekness and patience; to love one another kindly and to strive to maintain one another, with the peace that connects you to each other, the unity given by the Spirit of God. You are all one body and one spirit unites you, as one is your hope for which God has called you.

»There is a Lord, a faith, a Baptism. One God and Father of all, that dominates everyone, He acts through all and dwells in all of you. But each of us has been given a special gift, according to the measure given by Christ. That is what the Bible says:

»He went upstairs, took captives with him, gave gifts to people.

But he went up, what else does it mean but that he had previously landed here on earth. The one who came down is the one who ascended above all the heavens, to fill the universe with His presence. He, Well, to others he gave the gift of the Apostle, to others of the Prophet, to others of the Evangelist and to others of the shepherd and teacher, to train the faithful for the work of ministry, so that the body of Christ may be built.

"Thus we will all come to the unity of faith and deep knowledge of the Son of God, we will become mature and reach the perfection measured by Christ. We will no longer be infants, we will not be shaken and we will not be blown away by the wind of every teaching, human deceit and the tricks of fraud.

»On the contrary, having true faith and love, let us reach all that is the head, that is, Christ. He assembles and connects the whole body with joints; and each member, to the extent of the gift granted to him, contributes to the growth of the body and its construction with love.

»The old and the new man

I tell you this and I emphasize it, in the name of the Lord: no longer live as the pagans do, who follow their vain meditations. Their minds are darkened and they are alienated from the life that God gives, because they are ignorant, and their hearts are moved. They are unconscious, shamelessly disgrace, and perform dirty acts without obstruction. You, on the contrary, you have not been taught such a Christ, since you have certainly heard of him and been taught what is the Christian truth:

Throw away your old self, that connects you to your previous life and that wears out with its deceptive desires. To be renewed in all your spiritual depth. Dress the new man, that God in his plan has created him to live with justice and holiness that come from the truth.

»Throw the lie above you and let everyone tell the truth to their neighbor, because we are members of the same body. When you are angry, do not reach sin; let not the setting sun find you still angry. Do not allow the devil to act with your behavior.

"Whoever stole, let him not steal, but let him work honestly with his own hands, so that he can give to anyone in need. Let no harmful reason come out of your mouth except useful, to be able to build, when needed, and do good to those who listen to him. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God with your behavior, which is the seal of God upon you, guarantee that the day of final redemption will come.

»Get rid of all resentment, anger, anger, scream, category, as well as any other evil. Treat each other with kindness and compassion, and forgive each other, just as God forgave us through Christ.

»You seek peace with everyone, and sanctification, without which no one will see the Lord.

"Please, Well, brethren, do not comply with this century, but you are transformed through the renovation of your mind, so that you may experience what is God's will, the good and pleasant and perfect.

»Because, if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die, if, Nevertheless, through the Spirit, you kill the actions of the body, you will live.

»Don't laugh, God does not play, because whatever man sows, this and will reap. Therefore, whoever sows in the flesh, will reap from the flesh decay, while whoever sows in the Spirit, will reap from the Spirit Eternal Life ".

And the works of the flesh are evident, which are: prostitution, dirt, lewdness, idolatry, magic, enemies, dispute, jealousy, anger, factions, dichotomies, sects, envy, murders, you want me, raging food and drink and the like, for which I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. ".

Short Life of Peter and Paul of the Most Holy Apostles Peter and Paul

The Apostle Peter

This leading Apostle of Christ was a Jew and was called Simon. He was born in the small and insignificant city of Bisthaida. His father's name was Jonah. He lived in unimaginable poverty and deprivation. But he grew up in an environment of piety. His parents belonged to the few devout devout Jews of their day, who were anxiously awaiting the Messiah and the Messianic era in which the wickedness of mankind would end.. They passed on this faith and piety to their children. He learned little, he obviously only knew how to read and write. His brother was the first-time Andreas.

After the death of his father, Peter married Aristobulus' daughter, niece of the Apostle Barnabas, unlike Andreas, who never married. We had two children, a son and a daughter, whose names we do not know. We also ignore his wife's name. He settled in his father-in-law's house in Capernaum and practiced with his brother Andreas., the profession of fisherman in the adjacent Lake Genisaret.

After the arrest of John the Baptist, the Lord went to the parts of Galilee, in the areas around the enchanting lake, to preach the gospel of the salvation of the world. There he met most of his students, fishermen profession, which he called on to become "human fishermen" from now on., His accomplices in the work of saving the world.

Enthusiastic and pious Peter threw the nets from the first and followed him faithfully. Because of his dynamic nature and his special devotion to the Lord, he was required to take the lead over the other apostles and to speak often on their behalf.. He was the first to confess that Christ is "the Son of the living God.". The Lord appreciated this confession, and assured him that on this confession of faith "I will build the Church".

He followed Christ faithfully throughout His three-year ministry. At the time of his arrest, he reacted violently. He was also followed by anguish and grief in the unholy court of the Jewish clergy., par’ despite the fact that in a moment of weakness and fear He denied Him, even verbally and for’ he regretted it bitterly and stole it all his life.

He was one of the first to see the empty monument and to see the Resurrection of Christ.. This shocking event literally transformed him. His fiery sermon on the day of Pentecost made three thousand souls believe, to baptize and thus establish the historic earthly Church of Christ.

Then his life and actions were wonderful. He declared zeal and courage in Palestine and established the Church. He also performed miracles for the glory of Christ. For all his action he was severely persecuted by his homosexuals. He then went to Antioch and founded the local Church there, one of the most important early Christian communities. Then he toured Galatia, Cappadocia, Bithynia, Pontus, Greece. There are reports that he stayed in Corinth for a long time, preaching and preaching.

In our Orthodox tradition there is no information about the end of this great Apostle. Some claim that an old man and a spy died in Antioch.

There is, of course, the tradition of Roman Catholics about Peter's conversion to Rome. This tradition is disputed by many Orthodox scholars, because it is based on later false texts, the so-called "False Iron Layouts", invented by the popes in order to support the papal primacy of power throughout the Church.

According to this tradition, Peter ended up in the numerous capital of the vast Roman Empire., Rome. He founded the local church and became its first bishop. He preached day and night in the great city and succeeded in converting many inhabitants to Christianity.. At the same time, the famous Simon the magician was in Rome, known from the Acts of the Apostles (ch. 8:9). There, with the various tricks and magic tricks, he caused the admiration of the crowd and for’ this gained many followers. But he found before him the true man of God, the Apostle Peter, who in a series of miracles uncovered the deceitful magician, proved him to be an accomplice of the demons and revealed the invincible power of the true God.

In those years, the insane Nero reigned in Rome, one of the most hated and bloodthirsty dictators in history. In order to renounce his personal crime of arson in Rome, he attributed it to the Christians. To be believed, declared severe persecution against the new faith. Thousands of Christians were arrested and tortured to death.

Peter, one of the leading members of the Church who marched in Rome, became the main target of the persecutors. That’ and he thought it appropriate to leave the city secretly and escape. As he hurried down the famous Apia road, he saw the Lord in front of him, Who asked him “Quo Vadis?"That is," where are you going;». Then the ardent Apostle realized that his departure was tantamount to a new denial of Christ.. That’ with tears in his eyes he turned back and was arrested and sentenced to crucifixion. When he was martyred, he begged his executioners to crucify him upside down, with the head down, because as he said he did not consider himself worthy to be crucified as his beloved Master and God! So he surrendered his holy soul to Christ, and his holy relics were surrounded by the faithful and buried in a place outside the city.. His seventh memory is celebrated in 29 June, together with the leading apostle Paul.

He also wrote two Catholic Epistles, in which to what urges Christians: "It simply came to our notice then, you hurried, the devil who opposes you as a lion, walking around, begs for forgiveness " (Α΄ Πέτρου, ε΄ 8). That is, restrain yourself, become alert and careful. Because your opponent and accuser is the devil, like a roaring lion, he walks furiously and asks who to pull away from the faith and swallow him. After the Ascension of the Lord, Peter, taught the Gospel in Judea, in Antioch, in Pontus, in Galatia, in Cappadocia, in Asia and Bithynia.

The Apostle Paul

He was born around 15 A.D. in Tarsus, Cilicia by Jewish parents, who came from the tribe of Benjamin. It was called Saul or Saul and also had the Roman name Paul. His wealthy parents gave their learned son a high education. Also, the remarkable Hellenistic spiritual climate of Tarsus had a positive effect on the formation of his personality.. Both his father and Paul belonged to the Pharisees. This means that from a young age he had cultivated in his anxious soul warmth and zeal for his faith..

Around 34 A.D. found in Jerusalem studying with the famous law teacher Gamaliel (Act.22.3). The young Pharisee student showed particular zeal for the salvation of his religion. We meet him as a participant in the stoning of the First Martyr Stefanos (Act 7.54) and a little later a fanatical persecutor of Christians. We read in the sacred text: "Saul was looting the church, according to the houses, drag man and woman into prison " (Act 8.3). Because of his excessive zeal and hatred against the faithful of Jesus, asked the high priest to be the head of the detachment, which would march towards Damascus, in order to punish, for example, the Jews who had become Christians there and to drag them bound to Jerusalem (Act 9.1).

But Prof.’ The big miracle happened. The persecutor Paul saw a blinding light, which threw him off the horse and blinded him. At the same time he heard a voice say to him: “Saul, Saul, what are you chasing me;». The terrified Paul asked: "It simply came to our notice then, Sir;He replied: "I am Jesus, the persecutor, but I have risen and entered the city, and you will be amazed at what you see. "(Fri.9.4-6). This shocking event literally shocked Paul, He repented and after entering the city he met with the head of the Church Ananias, who healed him from blindness, she denounced him and baptized him. This event probably took place chronologically 36 A.D.

From then on, Paul put himself in the service of the Church. After careful preparation, he undertook to Christianize the Gentiles, that is, non-Jews.

Accompanied by worthy associates, such as Barnabas and Mark as a point, Paul started it 48 A.D. his first major apostolic tour, which is described in detail in chapters 13 and 14 of the Acts of the Apostles. Their first stop was Salamis and then Paphos in Cyprus, where they preached and founded churches. Then they went to Asia Minor and toured the cities of Pergi in Pamphylia., in Antioch of Pisidia, in Konya, Lystra, Derby and elsewhere. Par’ all the difficulties they encountered and the persecution they suffered, their preaching was a success. Local churches were established in all cities. Through Antalya they returned to Antioch, where “the congregants of the church proclaimed what God had done with them’ of them and that he opened the door of faith to the nations " (Act.14:27).

He then attended the Jerusalem Synod (48 A.D.), which solved serious mission issues (Act 15th ch.). Paul played a key role in this. He managed to convince that the mission of Judaism is over and that the grace of God comes to every human being., drawn up with Christ.

After collaborating with him, Silas left for his second apostolic tour, which is described in the 16th , 17the 18th chapters of the "Acts of the Apostles". He traveled through Syria and Cilicia to the Asian cities of Derby and Lystra. There he met the pious and fervent young Timothy, which took him with him. They crossed Phrygia, Galatia, they arrived in Mysia and then in Troy. After a vision, they moved to Macedonia and founded churches in Philippi, Thessaloniki, Veria, Athens and Corinth, in which they stayed for about a year and a half at the house of Akylas and Priscilla. At the end of the second tour, Paul arrived in Ephesus and from there via Caesarea to Jerusalem.. He then returned to Antioch for rest.

He soon undertook his third apostolic tour. Described in the 19th and 20th chapters of the "Acts of the Apostles". He visited Galatia, Phrygia and ended up in Ephesus, where he stayed for three years teaching and supporting the church of this great Asian city. Then he came to Troy, passed again to Philippi, in Thessaloniki, in Veria, perhaps in Epirus and ended in Corinth, where he stayed for three months.

Through Troy, Miletus and Caesarea arrived in Jerusalem again. There he was arrested as a troublemaker and brought to trial. As a Roman citizen he demanded to be tried in the imperial court of Rome. That’ This left him captive by boat for the capital of the empire. Near the island of Meliti the ship sank and they went ashore where he preached and founded a church there as well.. He finally arrived in Rome, where after two years of relative restriction he was tried and acquitted. At this point the holy book of "Acts of the Apostles" ends..

From Rome he sailed to Crete, where he left Bishop Tito's chosen and faithful associate bishop, went up to Corinth, in Macedonia and probably visited Nikopolis in Epirus in the fall 66 A.D., where he overdid it (Tit.3,12). Then he went back to Asia, where he left his beloved companion Timothy, after making him bishop of Ephesus. The fourth and final tour of the great apostle ended in the West. According to the testimony of St. Clement of Rome, it reached the ends of the West, in Spain. Then, exhausted and crushed by the hardships, he ended up in Rome. He realized his end and wrote to his beloved student Timothy: "I am already mourning and the time for our analysis has come.". Persecutions against Christians, which had been declared by the insane Nero was in full swing. Paul became the main target of pagan executioners. So around 67 A.D. was arrested and beheaded, thus sealing his titanic missionary work with his martyrdom.

So, became the greatest preacher of the Gospel, sacrificing his life for it. He was named the first after the One and Apostle of the Nations, due to his four major missionary tours. He is the founder of the Church of Greece. He wrote 14 letters to the Churches which he founded. You will see his life with his adventures, if he studies the Acts of the Apostles, but also the 14 His letters in the New Testament. The Apostle Paul wants every Christian, like himself, to feel and say: "I live for nothing, live in me Christ ". namely, I don't live anymore, the old man, but Christ lives in me. And even, "Everything in Christ". To direct, namely, all the manifestations of our human life Christ. Introit: "The first of the Apostles, καὶ τῆς Οἰκουμένης διδάσκαλοι, τῷ Δεσπότῃ τῶν .λων πρεσβεύσατε, εἰρήνην τῆ οἰκουμένῃ δωρήσασθαι, καὶ ταῖς ψυχαῖς ἡμῶν τὸ μέγα ἔλεος ».
